Post Relay wiring question...

I have a pair of electric fans wired in my 00 and whoever put them in should have there fingers removed! I am rewiring the whole setup for peace of mind and better cooling. Just need to know is there a way to use a 5 pin relay as a 4 pin by ignoring/bypassing the 87a like a four pin pattern... I have a basic understanding of the 4 pin and no experience with the 5 pin. Any helpful CLEAR suggestions would be great thanks.

The 5 pin relay is a 4 pin but the 87a pin is NC (normally closed), when power is engaged, the 87 pin becomes powered and then 87a becomes disconnected. Basically one pin is always connected, either 87 or 87a. Most people who use relays do not need 87a, but it does come in handy when wiring multiple relays to do multiple things.

Ok and just one more question. I am going to be wiring it so the one fan is on with ignition/ac and the other off the temp sensor... the relay's don't need to be linked do they?
