I know you don't get anything for mods... but when trading a vehicle in or selling it... do you tell the dealer/buyer about the mods you keep on it?

Depends. Dealer ... no. They get a stock vehicle cause all the mods come off if we make a deal. They are not giving me more for the mods so they will not get them.

Private party sale, yes, full disclosure

What about things like remote start/alarms... it is not worth my time to take it out... do you just give the dealer the keychain or actually explain what the remote is for on the keychain?

Give em the keychain. They've been around, sure they know what it is for. Besides that, it is not up to you as the buyer to explain to them the controls in the vehicle. This is dealer only.

Private party, I take the time to show them as they are now the buyer, not me.

if you have an alarm installed, don't give them the remote. be sure to set the alarm as you leave the lot
