Don't have lights yet, those are coming later. I wanted to go ahead and take care of the bar now. It's great so far and I'll definitely keep it unless the paint starts coming off and it becomes a pain to maintain. If this is the case I'm going to order an N-Fab light bar. Going to buy some clear coat tonight to hopefully prolong the life of the cheap paint job. Before that I'll do one more quick coat of paint.
Very simple to make and very cheap. I'd have loved to go ahead and buy an N-Fab light bar, but hey, I'm a poor college student!
Gotta make do and save money wherever possible. It sits pretty close to level, I was pleasantly surprised.
Finally, pics:

Haha, didn't want to put too much text in the first post. I know people like pics!
The main bar is 1.5" electrical tubing. The brackets it's sitting on are fabbed from .5" steel plates. The brackets are bolted to small strips of 1.5"x1.5" angle iron. I just used some JB Kwik-Weld to attach the bar to the brackets. It should hold well enough since it's sitting down in the brackets.
The basic premise of the brackets is simple, meaning the shapes can be whatever you want. I tried to keep them as simple as possible. Basically the hole that is cut out to hold the bar needs to be the same size as the bar, maybe a touch bigger so it will sit down in it. I created it so the center of the main bar was 8" away from where the angle iron bolts to the truck. As far as height goes, that can be whatever you want it to be, as well. I made mine so the main bar was 2" higher than where the angle iron bolts to the truck.
Hopefully that was clear enough. If not let me know, it is a little hard to word everything together.
edit: Thanks to 07FX4Silver. Got the idea from his truck!

Okay so I put some clear coat on it and took some more pics. Unfortunately I forgot my camera cable at home so I'll upload them later. Glad you guys like it! I just wanted to share it in case anyone else was thinking about going the same route.
