Ud Pullies??
Underdrive pulley systems increase engine horsepower by reducing the amount of power required to drive external engine accessories. For example, the alternator, power steering, water pump and air compressor rob horsepower from the engine. By replacing factory-sized crank and accessory drive pulleys with a resized pulley, the accessories are slowed, resulting in more horsepower available to the drive wheels.

i believe they are the same
arance, have you tried pepboys or autozone. they usually have loner tools. every autozone near me has the tool needed to pull the fan clutch off. if you wanted to be really ghetto, a pipe wrench will work. the "special tool" is nothing more then a large wrench for holding the water pump pulley in place while you break the nut loose. once its loose, you dont even need the special tool anymore
I don't know how different it might be, but don't the 08's have a different clutch fan with wires coming out of it, or something like that? I thought I saw a picture of one on here.
If it's not different,, then go to Autozone, and rent the kit for 20 bucks. As lucky said, it's basically a big wrench. When you're done, just return it, and they'll give you your money back.

yes the 08's have the electric fan clutch. they started that in 06 i believe. i have an 07 and the electric clutch still uses the same wrench kit. you just have to disconnect the wire before you pull the fan out. no big deal
I purchased some ud pullies for my 2002 f150 4.6L, and went to install them and the altanator pulley butted up against the altanator, so i didnt even try to put the rest of them on, then when i read on the box i noticed that it was an 8 rib pulley and my belt was a 6rib, would that be the reason it didnt fit? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

great pulley, definite gain in power down low and in the mid range
