Post . . . Mudder . . . help . . . !

Mudder,

Want to put one pair of KC lights on the front of my 2000 Scab to aid the high-beams, only used with the high-beams . . . which would you recommend? I don't have any partcurliar model in mind but I do lean toward the round type, but not set in stone . . . !

Thanks in advance!

Bob

Howdy. Go with the 150 watt KC Daylighters. I have ten of these and they are great, don't get much brighter than those.

Good luck.

The sealed beams, definately. I believe the halogens are only 100 Watt max.

Use a relay to power the lights from the battery. Use a dual pole dual throw switch to power the relay. Connect the relay to the center of the switch, then use the two inputs to power the switch. Use one off the hi-beam wire on the back of the light switch, and the other off a "switched" or "keyed" power source. This allows you to use them as a flash-to-pass, as well as not allowing you to forget and leave them on by mistake with the key off. The only way it's possible by accident is to leave the hi-beams and KCs on with the light switch, but the dinger will ding if that happens.

Mudder, GIJoeCam,

Thanks for the information . . . I think I'll do all the wire looms in yellow to match the covers . . . !

Once again, the board has come through . . . not a big things to anyone else but me, but I do thank you guys for the info . . . !

I now intend to research everything I plan to do on the board . . . makes me feel that I don't have to do things alone . . . !

Thanks to all and have a really good one . . .

Bob
