Silver or Black Tool box

I am in the market for a tool box. I found a Dee Zee on sale at a local farm supply store. Silver is $149.99 and Black is $199.99. My truck is two tone red with silver bottom. My grill has the black honeycomb grill. No real crome on the truck. The rail guards are the black plastic, and the running boards are black. I am leaning towards black, but curious to hear what others think!

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I like black toolboxes for almost every application. The only exceptions would be on a lighter colored truck WITH chrome bumpers.

The best looking trucks for a black box are black or white trucks IMHO.

That is a tough color combo to make a decision on without seeing it. I would say go to Tractor Supply and ask to take one of each out there and set it in place to get a visual. They should not have a problem doing that, they are usually good people

Black or Chrome?

Black always looks good, as well as Chrome. But i have heard from several people that the black paint comes off on the black toolboxes. And no one should pay 150-200$ for a toolbox that will get to lookin bad after you throw a couple things on it. Just keep that in mind. Then again i have seen a lot of people with black toolboxes. They should both look great

I had a black powdercoated UWS lo-pro on my Ranger and never had any silver show through. I had it packed full and always stuff bouncing around in it. Bare metal when wet would rust in the box but not mess up the powdercoat. IMO black toolboxes all the way.

As long as you buy a good toolbox it will not chip. I have a RKI toolbox that is about 7 years old and still looks good. UWS also maked a good toolbox.

I'm getting a black UWS low-profile for mine so black is definitely my vote!
