Ok I have $1400 to spend on Modifications to My 4.2L Any Ideas???? What do you guys(gals) think would kick some V8 butt?
Here is my current List...
1)K&N Filter, stock airbox
2)Exhaust
3)4.30 Gears w/Auburn Pro

Here is what I did at the Track, First time racing with a 5-speed. But No way was this my first time at the track.

16.926 @ 78.46 60'ft was 2.381
16.994 @ 78.98 60'ft was 2.425

Haven't figured out how to launch the truck yet,came out at an idle and don't know what the shift points should be, I am shifting by sound cause I don't even have a tach. Still learning how to drive this 5-speed, all my cars have been automatics. But I'm a quick learner. What do you launch at? What kind of 60's do you get?

I don't know if you're going to be able to get the gears as well as everything else. Why don't you get a chip instead?

Here's what I did.

I got the 1 in / 2 out flowmaster delta flow 2 chamber. Big increase in throttle response & acceleration. Then I bought the Hypertech Power Programmer, since I have a '98 w/V8. Wow! "Hold on" Then added an AirForce One FIPK. Some noticble difference, but not as much as expected. Realized that the MAS was being overwhelmed with air. Changed that and gained the performance of the AirFOrce One plus a good amount from the new MAS.
