which way is the best?

i am installing a set of driving lights on my truck. would it be better to wire them straight into to head lights or go ahead and run them into the cab to a switch? i want to hook them up straight to the lights but which side, low beam or high beam? i have notice on some trucks that has factory driving lights that once you turn on the high beams, the driving lights go off. is there a reason for that? thanks

i'm thinking thats what i'm going to do is hook it up to switch. mine is on the lower bumper inside the opening. looks good. next i'm going to put that mesh grill on the bottom and top. that way during the day you can't see the driving lights.

A lot of factory fog lights are wired to the low beams only and don't complete the circuit when the high beams are triggered

Wire your lights to a switch in the cab so you can turn then on/off when needed. I use the parking light wire for all my lead runs so that way i can run my lights with parking lights/ low/ or high beam

I dont think you can run driving lights here legally in traffic, (read low beams)
im going to probably run 2-3 driving lights behind the grill and just relay them to my high beams. LIke that when i need light, i switch to highs and its all there. no ugly switches in the cab.

Also good for those a hole drivers that run around with thier hi beams on all the time. A good flash from all that light should convince them to lower the beams.

How bout some pics of you guys setups

Oh and FYI
I wouldnt wire ANY driving lights to the factory harness directly.
Make your own wire harness and fuse it.
I only use the factory wiring for activation of the relays.
most nicer driving lights use plenty of amperage... and if enough is pulled, your looking for trouble on the factory wiring
