fitch

well I'm not saying it's a huge difference but it's noticeable and 04 and up 150's are known for not having smooth acceleration, so go ahead and be a smart-*&^

Put the fuel catalyst inline with your bong. Probably get some better burn also.

fitch

no problem just i was looking for feedback prior to buying it and the only people that responded were people that didnt even have one so at any rate i'm really not expecting a lot from this thing just merely looking for any way to gain 1-2mpg and i'd be thrilled.....what about the AF1 Troyers claims they had guys tell them they saw .5-1mpg increases when switching to AF1 but I personally don't see how that could be either.

I can't comment on the AF-1 it was on my truck when I bought it but I'm sure that someone will chime in on it. they seem to be the best out there

Many people on this site have stated that changing to an electric fan gave them better around town mileage of at least 1 MPG.

Then why doesn't Ford install electric fans? I do beleive this could be true, i have no reason to doubt electric fans could give you better mileage.

There is no reason to doubt it because it is a fact. I don't know why Ford dosent use electric fans. They do use them on almost every other vehicle they build, so why not trucks? Maybe it is because a truck is designed to be consistent more than efficient. Not sure. But, if you desire more efficiency you change to an electrical fan, small skinny hard side wall tires, lower it to the ground for less wind resistance, high 3.55:1 gearing and a smaller engine.

I bought a Fitch Fuel system and it is setting on my bench waiting to be installed. The reason Why I have not intalled it, is because I have doubts myself. I was thinking some body should email this myth to Mythbusters. When you go to Fitch's website it sounds very impressive.

I have researched every article I could find and from what I can find it sounds like in marine applications it works. My response to that is, in some marine applications boat motors for recreational people can be parked for some time before they use it again. So this tells me it must work to keep gas fresh but in a car that should not be and issue. I also sell auto parts ag parts and Yamaha recreational products and I've had customers come and ask for them claiming they work. I don't stock them or sell them in my store.

In Australia they have been testing the fitch system and they are trying to get there goverment to install them in all of there cars in Australia. I also found and article that the US goverment has installed many these units in are millatary units, mostly in marine applications. Oskosh Trucks also offers them as and option in emergency reponse vehicals and they also build trucks for United States Millatary. I also found a artical that the City of New York tested the Fitch fuel system and they had positive results. http://archive.thisisyork.co.uk/2002/10/2/280030

I bought one and after 2,000 miles I would have to say, save your money. I have found no real difference in mpg. I am very careful about mileage and I got nothing in the way of better fuel mileage or performance.
