Question Retrax - hot climate question

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing a Retrax rollup cover but am a little concerned about it becoming to hot to touch in the summer months here in Phoenix. With the cover and rails being black combined with the extreme heat and sun we have here I would hate to get it only to discover I need to put a glove on in the summer to open it. I understand from Tim at Retrax they have something called a "Hot Cover" but don't am still a concerned. Anybody here live in a hot, sunny climate and have the Retrax cover?
I would love to hear your personal experience with this. Thanks

I suggest you check with the local dealer. I believe the names is Unique Trucks or Trucks Unique. I called them a few weeks ago and they had just finished an istall.

Question

I called Trucks Unique 2 or 3 weeks ago a was informed they had dropped the Retrax line and were picking up Roll-n-Lock. As far as I know they were the only dealer in the Phoenix area.

Looks like either no one here has a Retrax or they all live in cooler climates. Maybe I should just go with the A.R.E. LSII.

Well, all I do know is that the RETRAX is far superior to anything else in cold climates. I guess I don't worry too much about hot climates, it just never comes up.
