getting power to the cb

getting power to the cb

i bought a cobra 19 ultra III to use as a PA and i dont want to power it by plugging into the cigarette 12v. is there a better way to splice into the fuse panel or something?

yea theres a couple of ways, you could go into your fuse box but with my truck there were no open ones with power so i went to the obd2 connector and found which piece supplied the power and used a fuse tap to get the power or you could also go through the firewall to your battery but you might get interference from the ignition system

I have a 4 gauge wiring kit for my stereo and the power wire runs from the amps up the floor boards and to the battery so i just spliced into the power wire with the cb pos wire and it works just fine
