Question K & N Filter or Geration 2.

How much of a difference in horse power is it with just going with the filter instead of the intake system? Is the generation worth the extra money for what our getting.

Hey Redbeard, I don't have the K&N but I do have an Airiad w/K&N filter. After reading all the threads (posts) about this and seeing results from people that have them I decieded to go with the whole system. The reason being, well the truck runs better because you are opening up the whole air flow path(losing the restrictive housing). That coupled with my catback sytem, well the truck sounds great and I can really feel it at the pedal. The gains from the whole kits is about 10-13 horsepower and little more then that in torque. The only difference I see is that the K&N is C.A.R.B. certified-Airiad is not. Does not matter to me, I live in FL. Roger who runs the online store sells the whole kit for 200$, best price I have ever found. And one more piece of advice, don't waste your money on the "poweraid" throttlebody spacer, just will end up as one big paperweight! My 2 cents...hope this helps you out!
