Any pre-made E-fan kit?
Any pre-made E-fan kit?
Is there a premade kit out there somewhere that i can buy, or is it junk yard only? I did this on my Explorer and got a good increase, but, my F150 just had the clutch fan take a dump and locked up on me.... moves a LOT of air, that's for sure!!!!
Thanks
Thanks

That's cheap. Take a look around for Perma-cool's setup. That is what I am running but had a little $$ help so I splurged.
I have the Troyers...1-1/2 years. only problem was MY wiring.
Got it fixed and doing great. I did fab my own shroud assy. Hated the rods theu the radiator.

Blu3,
I just installed the Troyer kit with the new mounting brackets on my 03 and so far I love em. I know it seems like a lot of money, but it's worth it as opposed to running around digging in junk yards and rounding up fans, controllers, relays, wiring, fuse holders and than you have to fab up brackets and when you are all done you still have no warranty. I think Troyer did a great job on the kit they sell and their customer support is top notch.
whatever you do, though, you won't be sorry because it made a world of diierence in my truck. Good luck.

mounting brackets
carF150,
Sorry it took so long for me to respond. Out of town guests. I'm reluctant to post any pics due to Troyers wording in the instruction manual about posting, copying, etc. of the mounting brackets. I'm sure he has a reason and I would like to respect his rights to the design. However, with that said I will describe them the best I can. If you picture a steel strap in the shape of a figure 8 and lay it down flat and cut it right down the center of the 8, the two halfs are what the brackets look like. They are long enough to fit around both fans top and bottom. 2 clips on the top and 2 on the bottom bolt to the brackets and slip over the the top and bottom radiator flanges. When you tighten the bolts it pulls the clips tight, thus clamping both fans to the radiator. It is really a simpleand effective way to hold those fans good and tight. I would strongly recommend that anyone with Troyer fans get them.
If you have any questions, please ask.

troyers fans
King if anyone wanted to copy them all they would have to do is buy a set of fans and I think its a shame when a man wants you to spend over 450 dolars for a fan he will not display flex a lite and spal and all the others show there fan setup thats why I got fal 270 for 400, might be sorry cause mike makes great parts I am not knocking him I have bought over 2000,from troyer but when I ask to see a pic of the fan he would not show me after spending 2000.with him kinda made me a little mad have a good day
