gauge help
hey again everyone,
i just got some gauges from my friends car and im trying to hook them up in my 05 f150. iv taken the dash completely apart and i cant find one single hole to get from the cab to the engine bay. its prob my fault but if anyone has installed gauges and knows a good location to pass the wires through i would love to know where. im trying to avoid drilling holes in the firewall. its gunna be about 6 12 guage wires. im mounting them above the cd player on that dash holder thing like this http://www.southfloridapulleyhq.com/...lotek_f150.htm
so i any one has any ideas i would love to hear them

I know for 97-03 Models above the brakes and below the steering wheel there is a rubber grommet (sometimes covered by firewall) that is easy to run wires from. I ran my stereo wire in through there so you can probably get it in there.
i have an 07 but it should be the same. if you look in the engine bay below where the steering rod comes out there is a large rubber gromet there. i used it to run all of my wires for my gauges. if you push the gromet out it will be in the driverside by the accelerator and the steering column area. the carpet has to be pulled back which is easy and the insulation under it is cut out already to get to the gromet. i used a razor blade to put a nice slit in the gromet and run all my wires through it and then placed it back and it came out very neat. if you have the time which i know you will if you love your truck, where the gromet comes out at i slid a clothes hanger from the top of the heat shield down to the gromet hole. i used it to pull the wires from the gromet hole behind the heatshield to the top of the motor for my boost gauge and electric fan wires. looks very neat because you dont see the wires once the hit the heat shield and a little wire loom will make it all look facotry. hope that it helps and good luck
