Question Tool Box

So, I was trying to figure out a good gift for my boyfriend for his birthday and I have come up with only one thing. He mentioned wanting a tool box for his truck a 2005 Black F-150. I know he wants it to be black and low profile but i pretty much know nothing about it. i was wonder what are good kinds and how much i should expect to spend. I just want to give him a good gift. Thanks!!

u.w.s. makes a great quality box and they are reasonably priced...they have both polished diamondplate and black diamondplate finishes and have a huge variety of box designs to choose from including the low profile type you said you were looking for... they range in price from 200 - 500 just as a ballpark figure

I am self employed and get open, shut my toolbox box many times a day, I usually only get a few years out of a normal toolbox. If you want a top of the line toolbox that will outlast the truck get a Weatherguard brand. I just put a black low profile one on my truck and love it. It is one tough box, many, many times stronger than any other brand I have owned. The downside is cost, around $580.00 but worth it in my opinion

Weatherguard

The weatherguard toolboxes are a little more pricier then Dee Zee and UWS but the last a long time and built extremely well. A friend of mine had two different Dee Zee Boxes and both locks broke and wouldnt close easily after only a few months of use, It could just be bad luck but seems like there locks wear easily. UWS is good as well, I havent heard any problems with them and they have a good reputation.
