I'm assuming that the metal part with the 4 holes bolts up to the throttle body...where does the MAF sensor go? Certainly not in one of the two tubes???

I was just about to mention the same thing...
From the looks of it, it retains the factory location for a few hoses and probably the maf with one side just opened up free with just a filter

according to the discription there is a second air chamber between the square and the throttle body and that's where the MAF goes so it still meters the incoming air when it hits one tube, i asked the seller for a picture of it installed i will post what they say

That years engine has a big maf housing that bolted into the inside of the factory air filter housing.. It looks like it bolts up to the square flange, then uses hose couplers to connect that round piece in the middle to retain vacuum tubes, then another hose coupler into the throttle body. But still, it looks to be overkill. And kinda ugly.
