Post NERF BARS

Yes I said nerf bars, not step bars.
Help me out here. I'm looking for the plain powder coated black round bars that attach to the frame ( NOT BODY) and do not have any recessed step on them. The same kind you see on jeeps all the time.
I'm thinking Grizzly sells them but haven't found a site yet to order them in.
Appreciate any help. I'm looking for some protection as well as entry assist for the ladies.

There's a company in Florida called "Sterling Equipment" that makes the bars your looking for. Their URL is [ http://www.sterling-equipment.com/ ].

I ordered mine from them, I paid I think around $152.00 shipping and everything. Don't hold me to this price because I'm not sure and I can't find my receipt.

Follow the middle link at the bottom of my signature to see a side shot of the truck.

The bars come with self tapping bolts; I used them as well as had them welded. I went to a local skate board shop, and picked up some what I call non-skid ( from my old NAVY days ), it's the material that one would surface the top of a skate board with. The adhesive(sp) is very strong and bonds really secure, be sure you have it in the right place.

Hope this helps ...

I went back and re-read your original question just prior to pushing the "Submit" button. You want powder coat.

If you want chrome nerf bars, I have to think they would be available from Ford ala the Ford Harley-Davidson edition nerfs.

Thanks Harley Guy,
But I'm not much for chrome.

I'll be getting rid of my chrome bumpers before too long, I like the look and durability of the black powdercoat myself.
eventually will probably remove my grill and its chrome surround for a blacked out one. Maybe the honeycomb grill.

Your truck looks a lot like my '97 that I just sold. Same color, and the topper looks about the same, too. Very nice!!

Uh, but mine is cleaner.

Oops, sorry for wasting bandwidth. That was the picture without the topper. Here is the one I meant to post of my last truck.

And, yeah, I miss it and probably should have kept it, too.

Hi regulator, if you would like to sell the chrome grill send me a e-mail with price. I will pay the shipping to Minnesota. I have a y2k f150 offroad pkg, they come with the black grill. Address is benstackle@juno.com
Thanks, Benny

If you're ooking for some functional nerf bars, go to www.roadarmor.com
They're not cheap, but they actually work, from what I understand.
