dont close tail gate

the first thing that comes to my mind is when you close the tailgate, gravity takes hold and everything falls, especially small items the next thing is rattling in the back compartments. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That is another of my concerns, but I was thinking of doing something like i do with my toolbox. Either just put some soft foam padding in the lid of each of these so that when the lid is closed the foam conforms to whatever is in the compartment and should keep it from moving some, or if I have specific items that I keep in a certain compartment all the time, I'd get some hard foam padding and cut out outline of the object so that it has a specific spot that it resides in.

I figure either of these solutions would also help reduce any rattling.

How tough is it? What if you roll ATVs or motorcycles across it?

I sent that very question to customer service and their response was "it should hold that sort of weight".

That wasn't too comforting to me, although I DID keep the email in case I do decide to pull the trigger and get this setup.

I'm also going to check into what type of warranty this thing has as well.

I mainly want to carry small things, like flashlights, flares, TP, jumper cables, tow straps, etc, so I think it'll be big enough for that. As far as being sturdy, I emailed their customer care and asked if I could load a quad across it, and they replied "it should handle that". Not too definite...

I still haven't ordered it yet as I'd like to inspect it in person, but don't know of any local dealers. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger pretty soon just to check it out. If it arrives and looks weak, I'll just send it back.

On a side note, where are you in AR? I grew up in Magnolia (SW corner) and graduated from UofA in 2004.
