Post Road Armor....WOW

I stumbled across this on the internet. Although this is far too extreme for me, I have to admire how far they've pushed the grill guard concept. Check out the website at ]http://www.roadarmor.com/

And check out this rig...I'm jealous.

Ha! That was my first thought too! That is going to the extreme. Look at all the possibilities for mounting lights! Thanks for sharing with us.

Saw this on Trucks or Horsepower TV on a Jeep. It is hinged so the hood can be opened.
With stock springs I would be afraid of the weight.

Isn't that one of those stomper 4x4's from the early 80's? Ran off of a couple of double A's...

Those are ready for World War III. Out of the way please!!!!!

There's also a new composite grill guard from Hobrecht, but it seems their website (hobrecht.net) is not ready yet. There is a photo in the last edition of the 4WPW magazine for customers. Looks great but no hardcore grill guard.

Damn those things look like the cages that are on Forestry Firefighting vehicles! Talk about over kill....or should I say over protection. YOu could hit a deer doing 60+ and not make a dent in those things! LOL

Hit a deer! yikes! don't say that...I'm nervous enough this time of year. I've hit 3 in the last 5 years! (last one was with this truck, last year!)

I could certainly see how the forest service could use those... instead of sawingdown timber, just get a bit of a running start and PUSH a trail through! I like it, though... If someone saw that in their rear-view on the freeway around here, (Detroit... home of the Mega-Ute) I think they'd get their 55-mph-honda out of the left lane! :-)

Why on earth is there a bug deflector on that thing??? Wouldn't you think that this would negate the need for a bug deflector?? Also, how, in God's Green Earth do you get that thing mounted without a crane??? And how many hilos does it take to get it off the UPS truck?!?! [ROTFLOL!!!]

Ahem, now where did you say I could find it?.... :-)
