Arrow Hidden / Semi Hidden Winch?

Hi, Does anyone know what the best winch for the f-150 is? I know this seems awfully general. I'm looking for a self recovery, hopefully hidden or semi hidden, and I'm not terribly keen on most of the bush bars I have seen for the f-150. If you know any good looking functional bush bar mounts and winches I'd love to see pics, or if you have a winch installed....I'd like to see that too. THANKS

Hey mudder, is it easy to get to the controls on your winch since you have your licence plate over the air dam?

Hunter4x4,

Yeah, it's pretty easy. All you have to do is cut a small piece out of the rubber flap that is under there, real simple to plug in.

Thanks a lot guys.....Mudder, is the ramsey as tough as a warn? does warn make one with your mount. That is a slick looking install. Do you notice the extra weight in the front? does it bump on approach angles? Thanks again PICS coming soon.

Cool

MANDRAKE27,

I like Ramsey because of the name and reputation. My dad has had Ramsey Winches on the front of his trucks for the last 15 years. The have the strongest winch on the market, the Ramsey Platinum 9500, faster and stronger than the Warn. Would have gotten the Platinum 9000 but I was afraid that since the housing was tall that it wasn't gonna fit with the hidden kit, thought it might sit to high by the radiator. They do make a hidden kit for the Warn, I have seen a few trucks with it. Good luck to you.
