Question underdrive pullies

If anyone out there has the underdrive pullies on there truck, Ihave a question. Do the pullies adversly affect your ac system when at idle. The 134a system in my truck is marginal already when sitting in traffic and I worry that it may get to the miserable point if I loose much more. It gets hot in Texas! Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have a Ford Racing 3 piece set on my 95. At idle the charge drops enough to slow the fan down slightly. It doesn't seem to affect the compressor. The air is still good and cold just not coming out quite as fast.
Virginia Beach summers aren't very forgiving either, and my pulleys are staying put.

I put on a crank under-drive pulley and I didn't notice any loss in the AC coolness at idle. Also, I've never seen the alternator light come on under worst case (idle, lights and radiator fan on) so I haven't lost anything electrically either.

Are you happy with the add-on? Does it help HP and/or gas mileage?

Thanks, fish.

I got my pulleys 4 months ago and have seen no adverse effects on electrical or cooling. The ASP’s are well built but suited for the 4.6L, someone posted a problem with the water pump pulley on the 5.4L. They seem to help more at the higher RMP range, not much difference at lower RMP’s.

I installed the asp's on my truck and experienced overheating when hauling my truck camper up those long hills in NH. No problems untill I put a load into the truck. Needless to say, they went back to asp. Never masde it to warm weather to see the effect on ac.

The set I have increased my mileage very slightly. The power increase can be noticed only at about 3000 RPM to the shift point. I'm using "about" and "shift point" because I don't have a tach. Anyway, it does seem to help but isn't a large power increase that you feel much on the seat of the pants dyno. No cooling problems so far. I have done some 1000 lb plus loads in rush hour traffic, but no extreme duty towing.
