Post Remote entry system equipped?

On page 77 of my '99 F-150 owner's guide it states: " Your vehicle is "Equipped" with a remote entry system." I never received a remote. Is this something that merely states that your vehicle could use a remote, but you must pay for it? I noticed elsewhere in the guide that it states when something is "not" equipped. I have a '99 F-150 XLT supercab if that helps at all. Thanks in advance.

Do you have Power Windows, power locks. Does you doors lock after you put it in gear? You might want to check under the dash, just above the emer. brake and look to see if you have a box that has KEYLESS CONTROL MODGLE on it. GOOD LUCK
