anit-sway
Have many people installed a hellwig anti-sway bar and how do you like them?
I was thinking about getting one for at least the back end and just wanted some extra input.

I will agree w/ T. E.
the rear sway bar really does a great job of reducing body roll, and keeps the cab straight when entering or exiting an on/off ramp. Easy install, inexpensive mod, and well worth the time it takes to install.

Docker,
I installed the Edelbrocks then the Hellwig rear sway bar.
The Edelbrocks made a noticable diference in after bounce (speed bumps, pot holes) and reduced some body roll. If I ever buy a new vehicle again, it will have Edelbrocks installed. I would rate the shocks (as compared to the stock POS) an A+
About 4 months later the sway bar was installed. This was the icing on the cake. Again, I would install one of these on every new vehicle I purchased. Now, when I exit a cloverleaf off ramp that says SPEED LIMIT 40, I can take it at 70 MPH if I had to, and the truck would hug the road like suck-chin-cup to a windshield. And when turning sharp corners, I still have trouble planting my wife's face against the passenger window. (just kidding) I would this modification a big-ole 10 out of 10.
regards,

Dragonboy,
My instructions read then same as yours do. It does not matter which end (up or down)you mount the hump. I think some members were mounting it under the diff. because the hump on the bar was hitting the ABS sensor on top of the diff. This very topic was discussed several months ago and the Hellwig said it doesn't make a bit of difference as long as the U-bolts fit snuggely on the axle. and are tourqed down. By snuggely I mean you have to tap them on the axle w/ a mallet and there is no up-and-down movement between the U-bolt. If there is movement, then call Hellwig and they will send you the correct size.
