Is it possible to have a cover and a toolbox on the F-150?? I really need to know! Please send any info!

Marc918 - do what I did - built my own toolbox - painted same as oem. - abt 1/2 to 3/4 inch lower than top of rails - then put on cover.

Well if you had a 8 foot bed it might work I don't know how it could be done on the regular bed unless it sits in the bed and is lower than the side rails of the bed.

On the 94 Ranger I had, I always had problems with the smallish bed. It was a longbed reg. cab. To make the space as versatile as possible, I built a lid out of wood. I made the first couple of feet a frame to hold the toolbox and hinged the lid on to the frame. It is difficult to explain how it turned out but it is the best setup I have ever had. I still have the old lid I made. I will take some pics if interested and post them here. It sounds cheesy but it looked good painted. I also had the option of carrying things on top of the lid which is not such a good idea on the fiberglass ones. I couldn't do it on the F-150 though. I instead built a custom roll out platform that works well. I also carry stuff in the back seat if I need to.

CheckMate products makes one any size you want. They made one for my truck with toolbox. CheckMate has ads in truckin.

A "5th Wheel Box" is what you are looking for. It sits in the front of the bed and is below the side-rails. I have one and am currently looking for a bed cover.
