Post Aftermarket cruise control

Was wondering if anyone has had an aftermarket cruise installed and if so could you recommend a brand. I priced one at dealer for $300! Does that include a new steering wheel too? I am looking at a few long distance trips soon and would really like a cruise control. TIA

I don't know if the Ford aftermarket kit includes a steering wheel, but I'm sure it includes everything you need to put cruise on the truck. Years ago, the Ford aftermarket kits had the the controls on the turn signal, but I don't think they do now because of the wiper controld ont he turn signal. I would recomend the Ford kit even tho its more expensive. I believe it would be more reliable than some of the other aftermarket kits. I once had aftermarket power door locks installed on a car. Never again!

All the controls for my Factory installed Speed Control are on the steering wheel on my F-250 Super Duty. There's an air-bag in there too. Be careful - you don't want it going off in your face while you're working on it.

I installed one on my Nissan and it worked OK but was a pain to calibrate.
