MAC Performance intake and throttle body

I am looking to install a MAC air intake and throttle body (97 f150 4x4/4.6). Has anyone done this? How complicated is the install for the throttle body? I am sure I can install the intake myself, but I have never changed a throttle body. Also, is the 75mm throttle body really worth the $170 it costs? Just wanted to get some outside opinions. Also, please feel free to recommend another manufacturer. Right now, I am going on a recommendation from a friend. Thanks.

from what i have heard the mac throttle bodys have a tendincy to leak from the o ring on the throttle blade, i would recomend a BBK throttle body theirs have a double o ring to keep it from leaking, also if you go with a larger throttle body you will need to port out your intake elbow to see any HP TRQ gains added by the increased airflow, good luck

i have the AEM brute force intake and the MAC 75 mm throttle body. Both were easy to put in. The only problem i had was getting the sensor off the old throttle body. I could feel a nice diffrence wit the two on and havent had any problems with leaking wit the throttle body. I still have to bore my upper plenum out though. You can find the MAC intake on ebay for like 160 brand new and the same on the Throttle body. def. a good price.
