Exclamation Replacing Foglights

im wondering if anyone has replaced their stock foglights with brighter bulbs along with their headlights because here is my problem: i have my headlights but i want my foglights to match the look, and sylvania's website states that they make the 9145silverstars for my foglights but i cant find them, so i sent them an email and they said by september that they will be ready and in stores

so should i wait or go for the Nokya h10 bulbs the arctic white? btw i saw somewhere that a wiring harness is needed for the nokya cuz a small fire may start? someone please inform me on this minor issue thanks.

Silverstars are about the brightest you can get without modding. I've had them in the wifes taurus for awhile and they are much brighter. Im just waiting on the headlight bulbs to come out so that I can get the fogs and headlights at the same time. IMO they are well worth the $$$

I've been using the silverstars for 2yrs., in both the headlight and fog lights. They are carried in stock at Advance Auto Stores.

Fog light, if the same as the Navi I have would be an 899. which 893 and 898 work for. I can tell you this though. Never try to retrofit differenct bulbs to your old connector, unless you have a hose or fire extinguisher handy.

After its all said and done though, I got the 100W bulbs to match my 80/100 headlight finally installed.

Hmmm, your friend burned them out? Did they burn out by themselves, or did he have an overheating issue? Reason I ask is I replaced the 9145's in my '03 with the (modified) SStar 9005's over two years ago, and have never had a problem. If you step up to 80 or 100 watt bulbs, you may see some excessive heat or wire melting problems, but 55 or 60 watters should give you no problems.
