Fast Roush also has one, He has posted on the Compter Chip Threads. You might want to ask him as well or just place a Powerdyne Supercharger thread out and see what responce you get.

Thumbs up

WSECTION,
Yes I do have a Powerdyne Supercharger and am to this point very happy with it. I did do a modification to it that I think that Powerdyne and Ford Motorsports should have put a little more effort into and that is the pulley size it comes with. It comes with their 9 psi pulley even though it is sold as a 6 psi unit due to the fact that these engines are a low rpm engine. Well not being content with less than ALL the horsepower available after spending that kind of money ordered an 11 psi pulley and installed it. The other reason for not being content with the 9 psi pulley(which by the way only produced 5 psi starting at about 2,700 rpm which took toooo long to spool up)was that when I went full throttle it seemed to loose momentum between gear shifts and take a long time to recover. Powerdyne told me that it would void my warranty if I put on the 11 psi pulley because of the potential to exceed the 42,500 rpm maximum for the bearings, well I did my own math and I would need to exceed 5800 rpm to reach that and even then I would guess there is a safety factor of some kind and at the time my chip was in for reprogram, which I got back today and so far am pleased with the results, and was only running at about 5300 max rpm with no danger of over reving the blower. To cut to it the 11 psi blower pulley made a tremendous difference in performance and drivability and I will have to play with it and the chip to decide if I want to go back to the 9 psi pulley, by the way I make about 7.5 psi boost now at 5700 rpm. The blower looks nice and sounds nice, just a slight whine, not near as loud as a Vortec. After running it hard I can still open the hood and put my hand on it. I am taking one more step to maximize this blower set up and that is my stall converter should be here next Thursday (where does the madness stop???)and my guess is that MRBBQMAN is going to suggest a little juice down the tube and I can,t say I won't but am not planning it for awhile. One more note on the pulley situation, I will have a custom pulley made to my specs somewhere between the 9 and 11 psi if I need to!!! I love this blower and now my wife is in the action, we just bought her a Park Avenue Ultra that I'm afraid will give my truck a run for it's money. I don't believe that either one of us will ever drive a non-supercharged vehicle again. Sorry for the long post but I've been away for awhile.
Later and GOD BLESS!!!!

thanks much for taking the time to reply. I've done a lot of reading and research as to what blower might be the best. although I am inclined to say, in an ideal world, I want the roots type Eaton blower. I's hard to justify almost $2000 extra! (about 3750-3900 for a good Eaton setup w/ intercooler) I do like the quiteness of the Powerdyne, and the fact that SVO uses it says something. If I get it, rest assured I will be plugging you further on your 'tweaking' of the setup. after all, you are "the king of add-ons!"
thanks again for the insight.

Question

WSECTION,
I will be glad to share/help in any way I can. After I get the stall converter in I want to put a Donnely mirror and a electric sliding back glass in. I have a lot of work to do first because I get all my goodies via making and selling hand made hunting knives and it takes alot of them to make enough to buy these expensive add ons. Buy the way how much was this place selling the blower for, I payed $1995 + shipping for mine. I have one day of driving with my custom programmed chip and it seems to be catching the leadfootitus that I have. I ran it through a couple of times with my G-tech this morning and ran 15.78 at 91 mph, I am making all my speed at the end of the 1/4 because of the low stall in the stock converter, but I still have not got my faith built up in this G-tech so I may be slower or faster, I don't know. I will try to keep you posted.
Later and GOD BLESS!!!!!

Dear Jim,

With that 2500 stall speed converter, you're going to be able to light 'em up pretty good, I would suspect. I'd love to see what some before & after 1/4 mile times would be. I have a feeling that vehicle is going to come out of the hole a LOT harder than it did before.

Have fun,

no web site yet. The company is APE (Auburn performance equipment) http://www.gothorsepower.com/ the unit to fit my truck of course is not on sale. cost is about 2k. I don't think Wynjammer has a unit for my 4.6L(?)

Chaplain:
I will be watching for those results. You're my hero! I would love to know more about those knives. do you have a web page?

WSECTION,
I don't know about this hero stuff. I do not have a web page, with working as an R&D Analyst at Boeing for 9 hours a day, being a Deacon at my Churh, Chaplain for the Sheriff Dept., husband and father and working on my truck, there is not much knife making time left. Don't get me wrong,I would not change a thing about my life except to try to sqeeze in a little more fishing and hunting time. I make and sell about 50/year, I don't have models, I just make whatever I feel like making and it always sells. I have all my own equipment including heat treat and cryogenic equipment and it is a real therapy for me and pays for my truck toys. Well I guess this is a truck board and not a knife board so enough of this, If you want to talk more about them you can e-mail me at swharton@horizon.hit.net

Mike,
I will let you how the convertor works out, I can't hardly wait!!!

Later and GOD BLESS!!!

I'm seeing some info on 4.6L with superchargers, but does anyone have any comments about 5.4L with a supercharger? What type of power gains would we be talking about for all that cash?
