I finally have a place for my full-sized spare tire to mount! Woohoo! .
It's a 37" BF Goodrich All-terrain on a wheel that matches hte other 4... it's not permanently in place as you can tell the sticker is still on it.

After mount fabricated and installed, and line-x'ed to match the rollbar:

nice idea & looks good. 2 questions, doesn't it obstruct your rear view and does it rattle/ shake sitting up there like that? just wondering.

 

it obstructs my view, but not completely. I've also got a reverse camera with 3.5" LCD screen so I can see behind me even without that .
Don't know if it wiggles around much, haven't been able to really test it yet, but it seems pretty solid! The Tire actually sites on the rails of the rollbar, and is just held in place by the bolts. Very well designed if I must say so myself .

 

cool, i guess you have the rear view covered. when you get a chance mattadams get a picture from further back so we can see the whole truck with the spare mounted up there. i'm sure some of us would like to see what it looks like from a distance.

 

looks sweet. I wish I could get a roll bar for my 05 flareside. I'll probably end up making one someday.
