Post another Header Question

Aren't all headers basically the same and made for our trucks to breath easier. Why is it that some cost more than others (not including the ceramic coatings). Wouldn't an inexpensive header with the same piping do the same as a top of the line headers.

Thanks

If it is not high quality stainless steel it MIGHT not last as long. I guess that depends on where you live how you drive and if it is jet hot coated or not.

Not all headers are the same...some have more development on a dyno, materials could be different, etc. I don't think it's a factor w/ late model F-150's [most I've seen or heard of seem to be well-made, but I've seen some [mostly for small-block Shovies, Fords, and air-coooled VW's] that had welds so sloppy, that alone would be a reason to avoid 'em.
