Performance Boost

Before I do any "looks or sound" mods I want to make sure my truck is in shape with the get up and go department first. I am looking for mods that can give me HP but not lose my Torque (isn't everyone).
I have a K&N 77 Series Intake and a Flowmaster Delta 40 Series muffler.
What else can I do to get performance?

1. Chip
I think is first and for most. What is good brand? What is good for 87 gas?
2. Under drive Pulleys.
I have seen it around here. What is it and how does it give the boost? What is the best brand?
3. Electric fans.
How much of a boost? What is a good brand?
4. What have I missed?

FINALLY----> Uber Importante
How long will these items last? And will they help extend the life of my truck?

Thanks in advance for the help.

The biggest bang for the buck mods are

1. Xcalibrator – 30hp / 48fp torque - peak
2. Airforce One intake – 25hp rear wheel gain @ 3,000rpm’s
3. Magnaflow cat-back – no loss of torque
