Its not a 4.9 liter. Its either the 3.9Liter V6, the 5.2 Liter V8, or the 5.9 Liter V8. Either way, you might win!

Oh one more thing could you explain to me exactly what a superchip will do to my truck! such as "what is it doing to my enging?" "will it hurt it?"

The superchip in no way will hurt the engine.
The superchip is an add-on that you plug into the stock chip. The superchip adds 26hp and easily 40lb-ft torque. This is done by changeing shifts points {getting firmer shifts}, removes top speed limiter and rev limiter...etc. Its better than the JET and Hypertech stuff because unlike the other stuff, the superchip works all the time, not just at WOT {wide open throttle}. It will get you an extra 2-4mpg also! Check out the computer chips forum also for more info.

No, the Superchip will not in any way harm your engine. What matters far more is how you drive it, and how well you maintain that vehicle. The better you treat it, the longer it's going to last, usually.

We offer special discounts on the Superchip to F150online members, so if you are interested in the Superchip, please feel free to contact me, our contact info is listed below.

And welcome to F150online! Hope you'll stick around and enjoy it.

Not to burst your bubble, but I would put my money on the Durango. The reason? He has a bigger V8, prolly less weight, and you have a 4x4 which I'am sure adds a nice sum of extra weight. I have a similar setup and although it's fast, it's designed to go off road. If you really wanna "compare", take a trip down some backwoods or go muddin....$100 bucks says you're the one that will be pulling him out. The other day my friend got a 99' silverado SLT 4x2 with the 5.3L and that puppy is pretty quick. He can get me off the line, but after I get some speed, I edge past him. Saving up for that Superchip and maybe headers as I won't be satisfied until he's a permanent image in my rear view mirror
