My 98 4x4 has the factory remote filter... its up behind the front bumper on the drivers side. So easy to change and pretty well protected.

I'd check with your dealership (pricey), a local junk yard, or ebay?

Happy hunting!

I put mine on the inside passenger side frame rail, just behind the front bumber/valance. Easy to get too and pretty well protected. Provides a pretty clean path from the screw on adapter.

Where did you guys get your remote mounting kits? I cant find them anywhere and changing the filter on my 4.6 has to be the biggest PITA in the world.

Thanks

Got mine at SummitRacing.Com I think is cost me like 55 bucks. I also have mine located on the drivers side, behind the front bumper.
