tornado air, BS?
tornado air, BS?
I've heard both sides about the tornado air management system, or piece. I've heard that its great and will increase your gas mileage and horsepower noticebly, and i've heard that its a piece of crap that doesnt do anyhting. Does anyone have it or know the truth about it? Does it actually do anything? Thanks for yor advice.
I've got some ocean property in Montana I'm looking to sell, real cheap! Interested?
Seriously, that product is total BS... I'm just PO'd I didn't think of something as silly as that first and make buku bucks ripping people off.
For better milage, check that tire pressure and ease up on the right foot.

Can I beg you to use at least some common sense thinking.
In fuel injected engines, this device is placed so far away from the intake valves by nearly 18", that there is no way it will have any influence in air turbulence at that distance after the air goes thru the throttle body and the whole intake manifold tract.
The fuel injection system is a dry system unlike a carbed system that meters fuel into the airstream and is much closer to the intake valve. At least in a carb setup putting a device "under" the carb has a remote chance of affecting the fuel dispersion into the air stream.
All the claims for power boost with these products is a sales gimmick that anyone in biz will use as a selling point because everyone like to see and hear numbers as the only way to make a decision to buy.
All the responses to these things like "it feels better, my milage went up etc" is pure conjecture with out proof. Just feeling is not proof.
Most people cannot feel less than about 8 hp gain because it has to be on a comparison basis since your butt doesn't have gages on it for measurement.

Exactly! If they could lower MPG with $5 worth of metal they would have done so by now so they wouldn't have to keep buying CAFE credits from Honda.

I bought one in a state of blind judgement. It was the worst amount of money I ever spent, I eventually took it out because I got tired of having something in my truck that didn't do anything. If I were you I would just save my money and buy A K&N FIPK or a Volant or some other intake kit. An aftermarket air filter would probably be better than a tornado
