Question Ebay Intake Problem

Hey y'all. I just ordered a air filter intake system from ebay, but recieved no installation instructions with it whatsoever. I am having my buddy who knows a lot about trucks help me put it in, but i would like some directions to look off of. If anyone can give me some help it would be much appreciated.

This is the one i purchased.

Try the manufacturers web site. Some of them post installation instructions.

Ebay Intake Problem

That is part of the problem. These products you buy on ebay and the product i bought are made over in Japan or China and they dont have manufacturer sites. I have tried looking everywhere on the net and cannot find anything. HELP

I don't have an aftermarket intake (yet). But they all look very simular to me, so what about looking up K&N, Airaid or some of the others? They have instalation instructions online. I've also heard that the C3 (Cheap Chinese Copy's) have terrible hose clamps, and most people replace them. Good Luck

Thumbs up Ebay Intake Problem

Thanks lifeguardjoe for the pictures. i got the intake installed yesterday no problem. it only took like 30 minutes and i am now feeling the extra horsepower. Anyone looking for a cheap way to get more horsepower, go on Ebay and look for imitation KN air filters. They are basically the same as the real expensive ones just made over in China or Japan somewhere. Thanks again.

Ebay Intake

Hey porky, i am really not sure if i am getting better mpg. It says you are supposed to but i dont know. I definetly notice the more power, but u know when u rev it a lot thats bad on the gas. Ill get back to you when i give a full tank a chance.

good luck! On my probe and my eclipse I had the same problem... They are generic a waste of money. It will cost you more in headaches then it would of to just buy the real thing. Ya win some ya lose some
