Electronic Lockers

Does anyone know of a good place to get a good e-locker? What are some brands poeple have been having good luck with?
After one winter with this open diff. I realized I really need a locker-not to mention the embarassment of leaving one tire mark after a burn out

Are these things hard to install or should some one who really knows what they are doing put it in?

Thanks

what type of rear axle have you got? anser that and i can give you a huge list if it is a 8.8 or 9 inch if it is a 9.75 like i have you are sol on a locker or e locker auburn makes the best ls for the 9.75, if you have never tore apart a diff before i recomend finding a freind who has to help you if you are macanicly inclined i wouls say go for it but follow the derections to the t, it takes me about an hour or 2 to do a diff change but i have done it a few times, you need a bearing press to put in the new diff, let me know what axle you got and i can give you more info i hope this helps

first off what rear axle you got? if it is 8.8 or 9 inch i know of alot of people who make lockers and e lockers if it is a 9.75 like i got you are sol, auburn gear makes the best ls for the 9.75 in my opinion, if you have never torn apart a axle before a recomend you find a freind who has or read the instructions very carefully, you will also need a bearing press to put the bearings on the new diff ***. i hope this helps if you need to know more just ask i have torn apart a few axles and reaplaced diffs ring and pinoins too if you got questions i probably got an anwser hope it helps

Hey thanks for the help. Im not positive but I think I have the 8.8 rear end. Is there any where I can look. On a tag on the diff. I found '8l8' stamped on it so im am kind of thinking thats what it is. Even before i found the marking i was thinking it was a 8.8

there should be two tags one on the right one on the left the one on the right should tell you your axle size and your ring and pinoin most lickly 3.55, and recomended fluid used, if it is a 8.8 then alot of people make e lockers and auto lockers, detroit, aubern gear, eoton, do you really want an e locker or would an automatic locker be ok?

I understand that ARB could have a locker ready for the 2004 Ford F150 9.75 by the end of year if enough people show an interest.
So lets send some emails to them so they can get one in R&D.

Unhappy

bad news
Unfortunately, a locker for the Ford 9.75 isn't even on the drawing boards.
The engineers still have a few projects to finish up before they can start
on another, and even then, the next highly requested locker will start
development. My recommendation is to keep in touch with us every couple
months for any new information. If you have anymore questions, please feel
free to ask.

Best Regards,
