grill guard

i have a grill guard that is bolted on to my frame (99' f150 4x4 stepside) and i am wanting to put on a 3" body lift. would i have to get rid of the grill guard since the body lift does not alter the frame but it raises the rest of the truck? thx

You can keep the grill guard but you will have modify the brackets to get the grill guard to look right. I would take a look at how it mounts now and see what you have to do to raise the bolt holes 3". After that, do the work yourself or have a good fab shop do it. In my case, I had a friend who had full access to a shop, and one of his guys modified my brackets so they'd work.
