Question Bed Lights

Does anyone have some suggestions on lights that can be installed in the bed so you can see at night? I will be putting a canopy on and it comes with one light near the door, but I was looking for something to help light the area more towards the the cab. I want all of the lights to be controlled by one switch (no battery operated stuff).

In my ARE hard cap I put in a light from Wal-mart wired it to a switch so I can turn it on & off. But later I also install a door jam switch so when it opens the light comes on. Down its off again.
I still use the on/off switch some too. But the door jam switch is the best of the two.
The light at wal-mart was in automotive for a RV outside light, it is cream color & has 2 lens a clear & amber so you can change it if you want to. The clear lens magnifies the light.

backup lights

Lariat #1,
Thanks for the information. I hadn't thought about WalMart for that kind of stuff. Reading through all of your mods, I noticed you have installed some Pilot backup lights. I am looking for something that offers a clean installation that looks like it came from the factory. I have seen way too many trucks with these huge lights that look like they just stuck them on. I want them securely fastned (no zip ties). Do your Pilots fill the bill?

Sorry , I didn`t get back to you sooner !!!
Yes I love my backup lites, they are mounted under the hitch. I1m thinking of get some different ones. They are spot lites , just a little smaller than the pilot ones. The pilots came from AutoZone. the ones I`m looking st now are at Meijer`s they are blue in color. I`ll mount them inthesame place as the pilots.

I found some LED's at autozone for 10 bucks. they come in packs of three and they are small and only have two wires, but they are super bright and you can mount them anywhere you need light. Plus they have diffrent colrs too. Just a thought.

Once installed you cannot even notice the zip ties. I too was concerned when I bought mine. The pilot navigator light throws a great flood pattern and the housing is tiny compared to others on the market. I pulled the 50w bulbs and put in 100w. I would put in the same lights, if I had to do it over again.

I also wired them to the stock backup lights which is an awesome mod.
