Tachometer Location

I just purchased an Auto Meter Tachometer # 105-3900 it is a 5 inch tach. Did anybody install a tach in there truck? And where did you put it? The piller gauges took me all day to install and it looks good and now I keep adding gauges. This will be my last gauge mod.

I guess that this was a bad idea. The tac will go back for a refund.

Thank you for your reply. This is the first time that I have installed a tach. All of the information that I have found on F150online told me how to hook it up but not where. I saw some trucks that are on the hood they look good but ,The tach I purchased is for inside only I think? And to drill holes to put the thing on my dash I want to know just how to do it with the best results. A good start will give you a good finish! A small answer from pros can make a real differance.
