I was going to buy a MAC intake for my truck. But I've heard people complaining about how the oil in the filters cause the mass air flow sensors to gum up and make the check engine light come on. Is this true? Will these intake cause any harm?

 

If you over oil , yes it can happen. You can clean that sensor, search and you will find a post with pictures on how to do that.
