Unhappy Silverstars Install, Need Help!!!

WANT TO INSTALL SILVERSTARS BUT AM HAVING A PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE A GRILL GUARD SO I CAN'T TAKE OFF THE HEAD LIGHT COVER TO GET TO THE BULB FROM THE FRONT. THE PASSENGERS SIDE IS NO PROBLEM BECAUSE THERES ROOM BEHIND TO GET AT THE BULB ASSEMBLY. BUT IT'S A MOTHER#$%^&% TO GET THE DRIVERS SIDE INSTALLED DUE TO THE COOLANT RESERVOIR BEING IN THE WAY.
IS IT EASY TO TAKE OFF THE RESERVOIR TO GET AT THE BULB ASSEMBLY OR DO I NEED TO GO AT THIS A DIFFERENT WAY.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED

GEEMAN

It's 2 screws to take off the coolant res. You will have just enough room to install the bulbs. I just did it 2 night ago. Have fun.

Unhappy STILL NEED HELP!!!!!

OK, I TOOK THE TWO SCREWS OFF AND ALSO REMOVED THE SMALL UPPER HOSE BUT THERE IS A LARGER BOTTOM HOSE TO THE RES. I'M NOT MR. ENGINE MECHANIC BUT IT APPEARS THAT IF I REMOVE THE BOTTOM HOSE I WILL LOSE THE COOLANT OUT OF THE RES., CORRECT????
I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR MY HAND IF I CAN'T TAKE THE RES. COMPLETELY OUT.
AM I MISSING SOMETHING OR IS THIS HOW IT HAS TO BE DONE??

PLEASE HELP, I'M VERY FRUSTRATED.

THANKS, GEEMAN

I agree

You should be able to BARELY reach in there with the res. moved out of the way.

If you have big hands, you may have to get the Mrs. to reach in there. I don't have big hands at all and I could barely squeeze in there.

There should be two black metal clips at the top of each Headlight. Pull up on the clips and the headlamp assembly will lift out. The clips may take a little arm wresting to pull up. You can then replace each blub very easily.

Be sure to replace the assembly exactly the way you pulled it out, otherwise you will not have a secure fit and the lights will rattle and not be aimed properly. Do not adjust anything on the assembly and you will retain your original headlight settings. Just replace the metal clips and you are done.
