I should be
wow,
really suprised myself to see how i took it personally when swofford said he was 'stuck in ny'. and i'm from way across 'the border' in jersey. silly though it is really, and i know it shouldnt bother me. home is where the heart is.
if i could make a living up in the thousand islands area of ny, it would be real, real tempting to give it a go at living up there. rolling farm land, st lawrence seaway, with the added beauty of peace and quiet. been up there as late as the end of october (it was already starting to snow) and as early as may, but never in the winter.
i wonder if the winters are as bad as i would imagine them to be.

Why would anyone take it personally? Im not from NY, it isnt home, Im here for a short period of time. I dont hate it, I dont want to burn it down, I just dont prefer to live here. I know lots of people who hate Texas. Doesnt bother me in the least.
