2007 F-150 Updraged Nav system not working

Battery died in truck. After charging battery, Display and radio will not turn on. Have changed fuses and still nothing. It appears to still have power because there is a glow to the screen when truck is on vs when not on. What am I missing?

When truck is off

When truck is on

Try pulling the battery cables and wait an hour, then plug it back in. Maybe it's just stuck booting.

The radio will not even come on so that we can access the player.

Then I hate to say it... the radio is toast. Time to either get it repaired or replaced.

I read through the manual cover to cover, and no mention of these symptoms. Along with an exorbitant about of Googling.

I did read this from another thread, and we haven’t tried this yet.....so maybe....

”You may have to remove the stereo and unhook the wiring harness. Is it the factory stereo? It may have a fuse on the rear of the stereo that might have blown, but in each case it has to be removed to check it. If there is no code info in your owners manual I doubt the factory radio is code protected. I could be wrong, I have not seen a factory 04-08 head unit in some time. Long story short pull it, disconnect it, check for fuse, try to press and hold the power button if it has one.”

You could try that. I thought you checked that when you changed fuses. I simply assumed.

Might as well at this point get familiar with it.

Update: the radio screen came back on today. And it went to “Updating Navigation. Do not turn off truck until complete”. Then it come up with an error. Not sure what the heck is going on but at least we know the radio isn’t fried.
