I have a '13 FX4 with 8" SYNC. It has the dreaded 'Information' in the upper right corner! Would like to Add a Nav unit...please, dear F-150 Lords please tell me its as easy as buying a nav sync unit on ebay and plugging it in, pushing in a map sd card and I'm set!????? (The engineer in me is very skeptical tho!)

Sounds like you may be wanting a aftermarket system, can't help with that but if you buy from the people who sell the Ford products they will make sure you get everything you will need to hook up and work if it is possible.
