Mounting kit for radio

Hello, I have been looking at this radio on amazon and I was going to try to find a mounting kit that would fit it but also needs to fit my truck. I have a 2011 F-150 XL super cab or extended cab truck, I've found kits that fit my truck but i'm not for sure if the radio would also fit it but if someone is kindly to help me in the right direction then i will be really grateful. I don't know much about this kind of electrical stuff so I can use all the help I can have. On the page that the link leads to has a mounting kit that the people that buy the radio also buy the kit beside it but it says that it does not fit my truck so that's why I'm looking for a mounting kit that fits both my truck and the radio before I do anything else

You should be able to pick up any double din dash kit that fits your truck. When it comes to steroid there is single din and double din. Single din is the one that is about half the size of what you have picked out. A double din is a lot closer to the stock radio that you currently have. If you make sure that it is a double din kit and it fits your truck then the radio should fit just fine.

So any double din mounting kit should fit? I was looking at the dimensions on the radio from the link I have on there, it's 6.2 X 7 X 4.2 inches, so I just didn't know if that was a factor or not on the mounting kits, I'm not real familiar with this stuff so I'm kind of new

I just talked to a buddy of mine that knows a lot about stereos and he said yes, as long as the kit is a double din and it fits your truck you should be fine. A couple things to keep in mind as well. If you don't want to cut your wiring harness you should look at getting a harness adapters that fits both your truck and stereo. That way if you want to you can go back to stock if you decide to get rid of your truck. You may also need an antenna adapter. I would go to Cruchfield.com and see what they have as far as what will fit your truck. Then shop around for similar parts.

Check these out. Not sure if you'll need the antenna adapter or not.

Any time. I'm no expert by a long shot but I've done a couple installs. The harness makes things a lot easier. You can wire the stereo to the harness in the house and just plug and play when you're ready to pit it in. Just make sure you follow the directions and you should be fine.

Sounds like a plan. Half the fun of doing your own upgrades is figuring out how to make it work. You have pics of your truck yet?
