Q for perhaps a Ford Tech here (SYNC and OEM Navigation)

Can anyone tell me if the sync module and capabilities are the same for a 2011 F-150 FX4 without factory nav screen) and a 2011 Lariat with OEM factory navigation?

Well, both can have the sync services, but it is a subscription fee. You do get it for free for 3 years, though. Of course, factory NAV systems are nice... the capabilities are endless!

why would sync have a subscription fee?
