OEM Backup Install

Does anyone know if I can purchase the OEM NAV radio and OEM Emblem with backup camera and install them in my 09 F150 that didnt come with the system installed and work with the wiring that is in my truck?

Thanks

I don't know the answer for your application, but if you could get the part numbers associated with that option code, it should be easy to figure out.

I would imagine you would need the head unit, emblem/camera, harness from camera (unless you already have a pigtail there), gps antenna and it's wiring, and maybe a nav module (usually separate from head units, although maybe not in the stock Ford one).

It would be cheaper to go aftermarket than oem for the head unit....

The emblem cam is around 300 from ford.....

I checked with my local dealership that said the OEM nav would cost over 4000 but they said to go to national auto that is their dealer and it would be cheaper and they told me 3000... Aftermarket is your best bet

I'm not a skilled motorhead nor an electrician, but I had an aftermarket camera installed in the tailgate of my '03 Scab and wired into a Panasonic 3300BT multimedia center with excellent results. Mine, is a flush mounted camera(R3model) with IR lights for night use. I love it! Very clear imagery both day and night. The IR lights reach back about 12-15 feet with a clear view and you can see more less clearly back another 10-15 feet. The only problem is in the half light of twilight or heavy shadow, when it is too bright for the IR's and yet too dark for a good view in the shadows. I've been wondering if an auxiliary backup light would help or hurt the situation. I'm afraid it would negate the IR lights effectiveness, but I simply don't know. My system ran about about $700 with purchase and installation (can't locate the invoice at the moment).
