Has anyone done a carpc/carputer in their truck? I have one in my 02 and I have the HU for sound mounted behind the 7" touchscreen. The problem with this is that if my battery goes dead(which it just did), I have to pull the screen out and adjust the settings on the HU. Any suggestions as to where I can mount the HU besides in the dash behind the screen?

Besides that problem, my carpc rocks!! I use Centrafuse as the infotainment software to play my music, navigate, get on the net, and I even have it set up with OBDII to give me real-time sensor data including MPG.

 

I've got one in my 04 (Heritage). In fact, I just got new computer parts for it less than a month ago. I have a 10" screen mounted in a box (needs to be redone) that sits between the dash and the seat.

I can't help as to where to mount the HU since I did my setup differently.

Why is your battery going dead? I have a M2 Power Supply to keep my battery from going dead from the PC.

 

What about trying to build it into the glove box
