Addition of OEM rear view by dealership
So just for fun, I though I would ask "how much" to add the rear view camera to my truck. I have 2010 FX4 with pretty much every option available except the rear view camera. I do have the Sony Nav system.
Response from the dealer:
$2000 CAD + any additional parts and they had to send my nav unit somewhere to be re-programmed to accept the rear view input.
Needless to say I won't be doing that option via the dealer, but I don't understand what they have to "re-program". Should the rear view input not just plug and play in that system?
