Cost to install 09' backup camera into 05'

So today I was quoted $300 to install a 09' backup camera into my 05' F150 screw. I have already cut the hole and have the wiring diagram. Anyone think this is kind of expensive?

I'm being charged about the same. did your f150 come with the wires run the length of the truck even though it didn't come with a camera?

That's crazy... No, I didn't have any wires ran. If I could go back I think I would do it myself. the guys I had do it did not impress me at all. Long story short, I had to come in after they said they couldn't install it because my pioneer avic-920bt didn't support a backup camera, and show them the wire that said "backup camera". The install does not seem very hard at all. At least I learned not to go back to them. Also, they put the camera in so it's a little bit crooked. Does anyone know how to get the on-screen guides for backing up?
